Made his Shrewsbury Town debut in between the posts and looked calm in possession of the ball. Made a couple of important saves too.

It was his loose back pass that allowed Albert Adomah in. It was a careless mistake, and it cost Town dearly.

TOM ANDERSON

The defender played a number of positive forward passes in the first half and looked a calm head for the majority. There was little he could do about either of the goals.

TOTO NSIALA

Hobbled off in the closing stages after picking up a nasty injury when Walsall scored their third. Was sold short by Hoole for the second.

WILL BOYLE

Look assured in a Salop shirt, but he always seems to pick up a yellow card. He picked up another one here.

MAL BENNING

Sam Clucas has been playing at wing-back of late, but Benning was given his chance to impress in this one. Tried hard on the left.

ISAAC ENGLAND

Another impressive display by the Town youngster. Some really nice touches, and he formed a nice partnership with McDermott in the middle.

HARRISON BIGGINS

A decent evening for Biggins, who put himself about in the heart of the midfield. He would have done no harm to his chances of getting a start.

TOMMY MCDERMOTT

Without doubt, the best player on the pitch. Just a shame he ended up on the losing side. Some outstanding bits of individual skill.

ISMEAL KABIA

Backed up his debut on Saturday with another sold performance where he once again showed what potential he has.

BRADLEY IHIONVIEN

Scored with one of his first touches in a Shrewsbury shirt. It was a decent debut for the Peterborough loanee.
