Nathan Judah's Wolves tour diary - From a big interview with VP to eating in front of WWE!

Bacon, eggs and sausage would be a lovely smell to wake up to, but it's been more greek yoghurt and granola with a swig of coffee this trip as we dashed out the apartment and straight to the team hotel.

We've had a superb week to date and today was going to be a very long day - it was a slightly different interview than usual to begin the morning.

It's long been stated that the best restaurant in Wolverhampton is at Compton Park.

That restaurant becomes mobile in pre-season with Head Performance Chef Melissa Forde a key figure in delivering top class food in an unfamiliar environment.

We sat down with Melissa and Head of Performance Nutrition Matt North to discuss how eating the right food plays a huge part in each player's individual and collective success.

Their attention to detail is meticulous and both have a huge role to play in performance on the pitch.

It's key members of staff like Matt and Melissa that are a big part behind the scenes and I hope you'll enjoy the extended feature that will be available to read next week.

LK: It's always nice, alongside the player and manager interviews and 'normal' content, to bring something a little different! Pre-season is usually the best time to do that and I hope Wolves fans find the story as interesting as we did when interviewing them.

It was then back to Chez Keen and Judah to record the daily video with Jhon Arias set to be the second signing of the summer.

We broke the news on Day 1 that the deal was all but confirmed and with the forward set to have his medical in Europe next week, we're expecting to see the Colombian international wearing the Old Gold very soon indeed.

One more bowl of granola and we were back for the second time in the day to the team hotel and this was a big exclusive - an evening sit down with head coach Vitor Pereira.

Speculation and rumour is always rife this time of year and some of the stories surrounding Vitor and Wolves were especially wild and whacky this season.

Sitting down with Liam and myself in the player's meeting room, we covered a huge array of topics that will be available to read over the next few days.

Vitor was on great form, he was open and honest, warm and welcoming - he cares passionately not just for the football club, but the city too.

He is not going anywhere anytime soon, despite what so called 'in the knows' will have you believe.

There are some big big stories on the way - so make sure you're subscribed at our £2 for 2 months offer!

LK: Vitor was in fine form and was open and honest with his thoughts. He's relaxed, happy and the atmosphere among the group is genuinely very good. However, they also desperately need more signings and Vitor does not shy away from making that point clear!

A late return back to Faro and I was cooking Mexican! Beef tacos to be precise.

Liam seemed to enjoy them, even though the spice was pretty heavy!

Washed down with a beer, we've finally cracked the Netflix password in the apartment and I've been educating the boy wonder in the delights of the WWE.

Although there's a few sarcastic quips, I actually think he's quite enjoying it - especially when his favourite Rhea Ripley is in the ring!

LK: I've always mocked it, more to annoy Judah than anything else, and although some of it is ridiculous, it's also pretty entertaining! I can't promise I'll be watching it at home when I get back to England, though.

Saturday morning and it was a very early kick-off for Wolves' second training game of the trip vs Kyle Walker's Burnley.

Vitor picked his strongest available starting team in front, randomly, Peter Crouch, who was enjoying a few days in the Portuguese sun.

Just like the Santa Clara game, Wolves dominated the first half and took a well deserved lead through Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The tempo was a couple of notches up from the first game earlier in the week - there was a definite edge to this one, but thankfully a few flash points did not boil over too much.

I'm not sure I could deal with another 'Battle of Benidorm' or 'Maul of Marbella'!

LK: Another good run out for the team with some good performances. The tempo will continue to increase as the days and weeks pass before the start of the season.

Back home, it was a lot of writing, editing and publishing before our final night in Faro.

I might even buy Liam a couple of Super Bok's on a job well done.

It's been a cracking trip, so much incredible content and we'll miss the country.

Portugal done, we'll hit Spain in less than two weeks, hopefully a few of you will join us in Girona!
