Trefonen secure historic treble
They secured the title on the final night of the season
Trefonen made it a magnificent seven wins in a row as they lifted the Montgomeryshire Amateur League title with a 5-3 home win over Waterloo Rovers Reserves in an eight goal thriller.

The border side went into their final game of the season knowing a win was good enough to secure an historic treble.
They got the game off to a dramatic start with Cameron Jones putting the hosts ahead after just 63 seconds and just 56 seconds later it got even better when Dean Davies made it 2-0.
However, Harry Bonsall pulled a goal back for Waterloo before Oliver Davies equalised for the visitors to turn the game on its head.
The goal rush continued and Dean Davies scored his second of the night minute to put Trefonen 3-2 up but the drama didn't end there as Oliver Davies' second brought Waterloo level before the half hour mark.
Oliver Evans dramatically put Trefonen 4-3 up to leave his side on the brink of the title and deep into added time veteran Paul Bache made it 5-3 to clinch the title in style.
It was a dramatic ending to a season that has seen the border side already pick up the League Cup and the Llansantffraid Village Cup - with the Montgomeryshire League’s Martin Roberts presenting Trefonen skipper Joe Kilvert with the trophy.
