A mixed weekend for Mid Wales sides.

After winning the toss and putting the visitors in to bat - Welshpool’s bowlers set about their work as they skittled the visitors out for just 64.

Tom Bowen finished with impressive figures of 3-11, while Rob Anderson, Charlie Kinsey and Matt McWhinnie all taking two wickets apiece.

In response, Bowen was run out for just two but when Suhair Pk was out for 22, Welshpool were already on 36-2 and cruising to victory.

Dan Cadwallader went soon after, before Welshpool lost four wickets for just six runs, leaving them on 61-7/

However, they just about did enough to get over the line, as they won by three wickets.

Elsewhere, Guilsfield went down by four wickets on the road to Condover.

Put in to bat first - Guilsfield were all out for 181 from their innings. Andrew Flann top scored with 56, with Twinkle Jose, 20, Gary Meredith, 33, and Nasir Uddin, 24, adding to the score.

They had the home side 27-2 and then 61-3 as they looked to pick up more wickets - but a 100 run partnership for the fourth wicket essentially took the game away from them, as Condover reached their total in 34 overs.
