Mills-Evans, who signed for the club as a youngster 15 years ago, made an emotional return to the side earlier this season - having spent the entire of the previous campaign out with a broken leg.

The former Shrewsbury Town youngster had been instrumental for the Robins in the Cymru Premier for years - playing a hand in their European qualifications on a number of occasions.

But a leg break at the end of the previous meant he had to watch from the sidelines as Newtown were relegated from the top flight.

However, he came back into the side early in the campaign before going on to take the captain’s armband and make 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring once.
