The man runs came from Nasir Uddin, who hit 69 and shared a healthy partnership alongside Richard Lewis.

They were edging towards their total but ran out of time with just one wicket remaining and just two runs needed to win the game.

Welshpool didn’t have such fortune as they were thumped by nine wickets at home to Condover.

Joe Monk top scored with 31 as Sam Cadwallader 16 and Dan Chodecki, 25, helped Welshpool to just 132 all out.
