Cathrall had spent a number of years at Guilsfield.

The curtain came down on the Cymru North campaign and a glittering career of a Guilsfield stalwart.

Chris Cathrall has been a key part of the Guilsfield side for the last 14 years - ever since he arrived at the club from Shropshire side Ellesmere Rangers.

Originally having started his career with Morda United, the versatile full back, who has covered virtually every position for the club, has played a key role in their record high finishes in the Cymru North.

He has also helped the club on memorable Welsh Cup runs - and he has also represented the Cymru North in the FAW Regions Cup on more than one occasion.

He was given a guard of honour before the final game of the season - and he went out in style as the Guils ran out 4-0 winners over Gresford Athletic.

The day was also a memorable on for his fellow full back Callum Bromley, who netted a hat-trick in the rout.

He scored his first on 29 minutes - before doubling his and Guilsfield’s advantage on 40 minutes.

Dan Wood then turned through his own net before Bromley added his third and Guisfield’s fourth soon after.

And it was fitting that Cathrall picked up an assist for the final goal - one of many during his 14 years at Clos Mytton.

As career closed so too did Guilsfield’s season and it was a memorable one for Gavin Allen’s side - as they recorded another impressive sixth placed finish.

That is despite still having one of the lowest playing budgets in the league, and they were just three points off Rhyl and five off second placed Newtown.

Elsewhere, Caersws finished the season in even stronger fashion as they put five without reply past Denbigh Town.

First half goals from Ashley Jones, Tommy Rowlands and Rhys Hesden had them in a commanding position at the break.

Rowlands then added his second just minutes after the restart, with Thomas Edwards getting in on the act just after the hour mark.

And there was still time for a late sixth goal as Ashley Harries scored two minutes into added time.

After the poor start to the campaign and the upheaval of manager Craig Williams departing for Aberystwyth Town, the Bluebirds finished in an impressive ninth place.

Penrhyncoch finished in superb style as well - as they picked up their third win on the bounce, saving their most impressive until last.

They beat Rhyl 3-0 on home soil to finish in 12th.

Rhyl had a shocking start, missing an early penalty before Mo Ali was sent off.

Goals either side of the break from Iestyn Duggan and Daniel Owen was then followed by a third from Rhys Jenkins.
