Michael Appleton calls on Shrewsbury Town to 'keep foot on accelerator' as he drops selection hint for Crewe test
Michael Appleton insists it is back to reality for Shrewsbury Town - and has called on his players to keep their foot on the accelerator as they look to extend their unbeaten run.

Salop made it five games unbeaten in all competitions last weekend with victory over non-league South Shields in the FA Cup.
They head to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday looking to continue their turnaround in form and make it six games unbeaten - which would be their longest run without a defeat for over two years.
For Appleton, is about seeing his side produce more of the same rather than the statistics.
He said: "It is good, their tails are high and confidence is good, but it is back to reality now.
"We've got a really important game, we've had a good spell of late an we want to continue that tomorrow.
"Without sounding too boring and predictable, we have genuinely just got to keep on the accelerator."
The Salop boss made three changes last week for what was a potentially tricky tie last week - as Josh Ruffels was handed a first start with Tom Anderson and John Marquis coming into the side.
Prior to the cup tie, the Salop boss had said naming his side had been quite easy in recent weeks amid Salop's improved form.
Asked whether any of the players who were handed starts last week had given him a headache heading to Crewe - Appleton explained: "The only question I might have really is over the players who are 50/50.
"I think the players who have played on a regular basis have produced over five games or so, for me, have got to a level that you would want and expect.
"Any player who comes in and takes an opportunity will get the respect from me and they'll always have that opportunity as and when it presents itself.
"But there are a lot of players there who have been playing on a regular basis who are producing performances after performances and I want that to continue."
