Jose Sa - 7

The goalkeeper has had very little to do on the day and did nothing wrong with the moments he was called into action for.

Nelson Semedo - 7

A solid performance from Semedo, who was needed more in defence on this occasion. His positioning was good and he defended well one-v-one.

Santi Bueno - 7

Bueno has been given his chance and is in good form. He is coping with the demands of the Premier League both physically and tactically.

Craig Dawson - 8

Dawson used his experience in impressive fashion to keep the Saints at bay and marshal his defence. It was a strong display with the ball at his feet and in the air.

Toti Gomes - 7

Toti started the season poorly but has had a resurgence in recent weeks. He made several late recoveries and tackles using his superior athleticism.

Rayan Ait-Nouri - 6

Ait-Nouri is remarkably talented and always offers a threat, but at the moment he is giving the ball away too often in key areas.

Mario Lemina - 6

It was a pragmatic display from the captain, who ran himself into the ground and got stuck into tackles. Some quality on the ball was missing but he worked tirelessly.

Joao Gomes - 7

Gomes continues his form of late with another energetic display. He snapped at Southampton's heels and made life difficult for them at the right times.

Pablo Sarabia - 7

Sarabia, handed another chance from the start, made a fast start with an excellent goal. He was quieter for the rest of the half but his goal had the most impact.

Matheus Cunha - 8

Wolves' best and most creative player was consistently dangerous. He carries the ball so well and with a goal and an assist, he played a major role in Wolves' first win.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - 6

The striker worked hard but struggled for too much impact on the day. He took up some good positions but was rarely found.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (for Sarabia, 45), 6, Goncalo Guedes (for Larsen, 72), 6, Rodrigo Gomes (for Cunha, 90), Matt Doherty (for Ait-Nouri, 95).

Subs not used: Johnstone, Pond, Doyle, Andre, Forbs.
