Liam Keen's Wolves player ratings v Aston Villa after derby defeat
Liam Keen rates the Wolves players on their performance following the defeat to Aston Villa.
Sam Johnstone
The goalkeeper actually had little to do but did well when called upon. His distribution could have been better at times.
Shot-stopper: 6
Jackson Tchatchoua
Tchatchoua was better offensively and offered an outlet for Wolves, but his crosses needed to be more accurate.
Outlet: 6
Yerson Mosquera
The defender is unpredictable and makes mistakes, but has solid attributes. He defended fairly well and came close to scoring.
Erratic: 6
Emmanuel Agbadou
Agbadou had a solid game and defended well, but he slowed the match down too much when in possession. He had to move the ball quicker and more decisively.
Solid: 6
Toti Gomes
This was Toti's best performance for a little while as he made several key tackles. He was also improved on the ball.
Captain: 7
David Moller Wolfe
Wolfe had a good first half and offered a good attacking option, but he tailed off in the second half before being substituted.
Attacking: 6
Andre
The midfielder was superb in his ball retention and was a key part of Wolves' battling display against a good Villa side.
Superb: 7
Joao Gomes
Fellow Brazilian midfielder J.Gomes covered every blade of grass and was a constant thorn in Villa's side.
Fighter: 7
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde
Potentially Wolves' best player on the day, Bellegarde took up intelligent positions in-between the lines and was the key creator of Wolves' chances.
Dangerous: 7
Jhon Arias
It was an improved performance from Arias but he is still lacking the final bit of quality when it matters and his mistake saw Larsen's goal ruled out.
Improved: 6
Jorgen Strand Larsen
The striker showed plenty of heart and fight, and was unfortunate to see his goal chalked off in the first half, in a match-defining moment.
Heart: 6
Tawanda Chirewa (for Bellegarde, 69), 6, Hugo Bueno (for Wolfe, 77), Mateus Mane (for Mosquera, 77), Tolu Arokodare (for Arias, 87).
Subs not used: Sa, S.Bueno, Hoever, Munetsi, Hwang.
