"It's not a concern" - Wolves boss on attacking options and squad depth

Rob Edwards insists he is not concerned about Wolves' lack of attacking depth following the draw with Nottingham Forest.

With Hwang Hee-chan currently sidelined with a calf injury, Edwards was forced the name three academy players without a single senior minute of experience between them on his bench against Forest.

His most attacking substitute was midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, but Edwards believes Wolves were right to offload some players in January and is not worried about the size of his squad.

"No, it's not a concern," the head coach said.

"We knew when we made decisions for people to either go out and play more football or to leave, we knew the situation but we had to do what we had to do as well.

"I'm not worried about that at all. I don't think Channy will be too long. Hopefully Andre will be back fairly soon as well and Toti's doing really well.

"Those three lads will be back, which obviously strengthens the group."

Strikers Tolu Arokodare and Adam Armstrong were unable to have an impact at the City Ground as Wolves struggled to create.

Wolves have scored just once in their last five Premier League matches and are in desperate need of some inspiration in the final third of the pitch.

When asked how he fixes an ongoing problem with creating and scoring, Edwards admits his side did not do enough in possession against Forest.

"It was the rhythm of the game in the end," he said.

"It was going to be a counter-attacking moment or a set a piece. It wasn't going to be from a controlled phase of play where we were able to keep it in there, we didn't have that.

"We weren't good enough with the ball. I'll give them credit, I thought they were really aggressive with the pressing.

"They've got brilliant physicality, especially in that midfield area and I thought they really showed that, the press, really well.

"We probably played into their hands and didn't go into Tolu with enough quality to miss the press.

"We weren't good with the ball, so it was going to be from a counter-attacking moment or a set play. A couple of half moments but that was it.

"It's the hardest thing. Coming when we have, it's difficult trying to tighten things at one end and then trying to create the other in the Premier League is really, really difficult."
