Telford Tigers stand strong in win over Flames
Telford Tigers maintained their lead at the top of the English Premier League with an incident-filled 4-3 win over Guildford Flames.
But it was fight and fright night – Sam Zajac fought with Guildford's Andy McKinney while Telford led 3-0 before the Flames forced overtime.

Victory at Telford Ice Rink means the Tigers are still eight points clear of second-placed Milton Keynes Lightning. They made the best possible start, with Corey McEwen scoring after just seven minutes.
Defenceman Zajac then scrapped with McKinney on 13 minutes, as tempers threatened to boil over. Captain Jason Silverthorn added to Telford's lead at the start of the second session, before scoring their third on 27 minutes.
But that strike appeared to spur Guildford into action, McKinney scoring on the stroke of the period break. Andrew Hemmings struck again for the Flames on 45 minutes, before they equalised through Ben Campbell moments later. That meant overtime, and it was Telford who secured the points with a golden goal from Milan Kolena.
On Saturday night a Doug Clarkson hat-trick helped Telford win 6-5 at Swindon Wildcats.
The Tigers host Hull Pirates next before they travel to Peterborough Phantoms.
