Having suffered another narrow defeat on their travels at Bristol Pitbulls on Saturday - going down in a penalty shootout - the Tigers bounced straight back at Telford Ice Rink.

Ronny Paragallo opened the scoring in the first period - a lead that was doubled in the second by Canadian forward Callum Field.

Harry Ferguson made it 3-0 - thanks to Eric Henderson’s 150th assist for the Tigers - before Max Dukovac and Rhodes Mitchell-King put them five clear by the end of the second period.

Though Basingstoke pulled two back in the final spell of the game, a sixth Telford goal - scored by Scott McKenzie - was sandwiched between.

On Saturday, Telford led three times against Bristol through Dukovac, McKenzie and Henderson, but the hosts forced overtime and then a shootout.

It was on the seventh round of shots that the match was decided, with Finley Howells missing for the Tigers and Jake Bricknell scoring for the Pitbulls - though Telford returned home with a point for their efforts.
