Forget tactics, systems or a back three - West Brom need to show one key attribute in their fight for Championship survival
With every passing week West Brom's games get bigger and bigger.
It is a month to the day since Albion were beaten with the last kick of the game away at Leicester - a result that ultimately put the final nail in Ryan Mason's time in charge.
At that point, Albion were flirting with a relegation battle. Now they are fully immersed in it.
The last month has involved a new managerial appointment, questions over changing systems and tactics and more alarmingly, bad results.
But at the same time, Eric Ramsay's first few games in charge have had a common theme about them. Albion have been out fought, out battled. Other teams have wanted it more than Albion, and that is why they are in the position they are in.
The run of results under Mason, the late heartbreak was due to the fact Albion could not shut out games for one reason or another.
The players have come in for a share of criticism following the results against Norwich and Portsmouth - but a lot more has been made of Ramsay's decision to change the system to try and get Albion moving up the table.
Those comments are correct, it does seem that Albion have changed too much, too soon. Under Mason, it felt like they were not a million miles away.

So the comments around a slight bit of naivety Ramsay's part are valid arguments. But there has been more of a spotlight on that than the fact that Albion have been out fought and out battled.
Those things in football should be a given every single week. But we haven't seen that. If you're out played, the players are better, then fans can accept that.
When a side looks they have thrown it in, then fans can't accept that. That is why we saw the reaction from the Baggies fans last week.
And that, above all else, is why Albion are in the position they are in, below the dreaded relegation line.
You can talk systems, tactics, inverted full backs, number tens, false nines, until your blue in the face. If a side isn't showing they want it more than the opposition and battling harder than the opposition then you are in trouble, big trouble.
I've said repeatedly for weeks, if Albion show that, if they want it more than the opposition, they will get out of it, because they have the quality to win football matches.
Now more than ever for the fans and for this club, it is about time the players showed it.
