The summer signing has started all three Premier League fixtures this season but cut an isolated figure at the City Ground at the weekend.

Playing in the hostile atmospheres of English grounds, the striker admits he found it tough against Nottingham Forest but he relishes the environment.

“I think that’s also one of the main reasons I’m here, I like that kind of football, that intensity,” Larsen said.

“I tried to show it a bit in the Chelsea game, that I like to get the fans going. I like intensity in my playing style, also, but it was hard (against Forest).

“I was feeling a little bit alone sometimes. We played against two big centre-backs, where we are pushed low into the pitch, and then we need some guys to hold up the ball.

“We were a bit off on that one, but I think that takes time to get to know the defenders, to get to know the league a little bit, and then we’ll keep going.

“I know that the team were working hard down on the pitch, so I’m just trying my best, but you know they’re strong.

“That type of playing they do is difficult to play against in away games. I think we managed well, we got a point and now we have to go for three points in the next home game.”

When asked if it was an important point for Wolves, Larsen added: “Of course. I think we had been playing well at moments in the first two games, to be honest.

“We don’t deserve to lose 6 -2 (against Chelsea), but that’s football. Good teams punish you.

“We did well (against Forest), bouncing back and also in the week with a win in the cup. I think it was really important to get a point.

“We always want three, but it’s a difficult ground for me with a new atmosphere which was tough.

“They played their type of football – long balls, counter attacking , so it was a difficult game for us. But I think at the end it was important to get one point.”
