Wolves 1 Villa 1 – Player ratings
Following the derby day draw with Villa, Liam Keen rates the players on their performance.

Jose Sa - 8
Although there were one or two worrying moments, Sa once again made a number of superb saves to keep Wolves in the game.
Nelson Semedo - 5
Semedo’s weakness at defending the back post hindered Wolves again, as it resulted in Villa’s equaliser and almost resulted in a Villa winner.
Max Kilman - 7
One or two small errors aside, Kilman was solid throughout, despite being a left-footer playing on the right side. His versatility will be key.
Craig Dawson - 7
Fresh from a masterclass in stopping Erling Haaland, Dawson was effective again in keeping Watkins quiet.
Toti Gomes - 7
Toti was consistent again and used his positioning and athleticism well against tough opponents.
Rayan Ait-Nouri - 6
A decent first half, but off at half-time, Ait-Nouri did not get into the swing of this fixture in order to make a big impact.
Joao Gomes - 7
Gomes ran himself into the ground again and despite some sloppy moments in possession, he marshalled the defence well.
Mario Lemina - 7
Lemina was on course for big rating, and perhaps a seven is generous for someone who got sent off, but he was excellent until his late red card.
Hwang Hee-chan - 8
Hwang once again found himself on the scoresheet with excellent movement and positioning. He is on superb form right now.
Matheus Cunha - 7
Cunha does a lot of work in this team to make the system and style work for those around him, but his goal threat is next to nothing.
Pedro Neto - 8
A carbon copy of his goal against Luton and assist against Manchester City, Neto’s dangerous run down the right flank resulted in Hwang’s goal.
Matt Doherty (for Ait-Nouri, 45), 6, Boubacar Traore (for Gomes, 69), 7, Sasa Kalajdzic (for Cunha, 76), 7, Fabio Silva (for Hwang, 85).
Subs not used: Bentley, S.Bueno, Jonny, Doyle, Sarabia.
