'Watching every move': Wolves fans unveil new anti-Fosun banner and take swipe at Jeff Shi over 2024 column

The banners were unveiled outside Molineux before the final home game of the season.

Wolves fans have taken another swipe at owners Fosun and former chairman Jeff Shi ahead of their final home game of the season.

The club’s stay in the Premier League officially ends next week as they head to Burnley for the final game of the season.

However, they face Fulham at Molineux on Sunday for what will be the final home Premier League game, after relegation was confirmed last month.

Throughout the campaign and recent seasons - the Wolves fans have consistently taken aim at the club’s owners Fosun over their running of the club.

It comes after Wolves had established themselves as a Premier League side - before fans became unhappy with the club selling their best players season after season.

Poor recruitment and decisions to sell some of their prized assets has ultimately ended their eight year stay in the top flight.

Banners and chants have been common place inside Molineux, and before the final home outing two large banners were unveiled by supporters.

One is a regular anti-Fosun banner and a Taiwan flag, which is regularly seen inside Molineux. It is in reference to the political tension between the country and China.

And another banner was unveiled, taking a swipe at Fosun and former chairman Shi, referencing comments made by the ex-Wolves chief back in 2024.

In a column for the Express & Star, he riled Wolves fans by saying ‘if you only pursue trophies or consistent European football, Wolves might not be an ideal choice.’

The banner read: “If all you crave are trophies and league titles then Wolves might not be the club for you.

“Thanks Jeff and Fosun you’ve played a blinder.

“We are watching your every move.”

The banners come after a tense fans’ forum at Molineux, where manager Rob Edwards, new chairman Nathan Shi and sporting director Matt Jackson faced questions from Wolves fans.
