Steve Bull: Just one goal – but Diego Costa certainly gave everything for Wolves
From one striker to another, first of all we have to say thank you to Diego Costa.

He didn’t have to come to us, he was unfit when he came and after a few months you could see signs of the player he was.
Players come and go – and we probably need some fresh blood in now – but you have to thank him for all he’s done.
He didn’t score many goals but he was a threat on the field and a good influence off it.
His one goal was a nice moment. It was for the fans just as much as it was for him.
They were chanting his name all the way up until the end of the season and it reminded me of when I was playing back in the day.
The crowd push you on – it’s a great feeling.
Wolves fans love a goalscorer and a hard-worker, and Costa definitely put the graft in.
He’s off to pastures new now, I hope he loved his time at Wolves and fair play to him for coming in and helping the club when we needed it.
We enjoyed having him and we wish him well.
Another player I want to wish well is Joao Moutinho. What an absolutely unbelievable player. A little dynamite.
He has served Wolves so well and he’s a world-class player, it’s as simple as that.
If it was up to me, I’d have probably given him another 12 months and got him to help nurture the kids coming through the ranks, and still do a job for Wolves at the same time. ‘Legend’ is a massive word for Wolves and I think you probably need to be at the club a bit longer, and win some trophies, to achieve legend status. But he was absolutely unbelievable. He was a bargain buy for Wolves and served the club well.
He’ll be just as sad to go as we are to see him leave.
It was a shame that he didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to the Wolves fans this season, and vice versa.
Whether it was him not choosing to play or the manager picking the side that left him out, I suppose sentiment goes out of the window in football.
I would have liked to see him walking around the pitch at the end to wave his goodbyes too.
With Adama Traore’s future at Wolves up in the air, I hope they can come to an agreement and keep hold of him.
He is a threatening player, very skilful and very fast and I would want to keep him.
His attributes are unbelievable, other teams are scared of him and he could progress even further under Julen Lopetegui.
I’d give him 12 months, or two years, and stick with him. The club should do all they can to keep him.
It says a lot that the manager wants him. His backing sums it up.
But we also need to sort out a few more players and make sure we replace any players that go.
A stable side will get you points and I want to see us kick off the season with the players we are going to have all year.
There’s nothing worse than scrambling for signings late in the window, after the season has started.
The quicker they can do that, the better. You need to do your business early.
Unfortunately we are culprits for it, we always leave it until the last minute, which I’d like to see change. Lopetegui will want the majority of his side ready for pre-season as well.
