Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has challenged his players to win their 'individual battles' when they come up against West Bromwich Albion for the third time this season tomorrow.
So far West Brom have earned the bragging rights over their Black Country rivals with two 3-0 victories.
The first came in the Championship at the Hawthorns in the autumn, while the second defeat came at Molineux in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Now fans are hoping Wolves can finally turn their tables on their fierce rivals - and move above them in the Championship table.
McCarthy acknowledges Albion as being one of the Championship's top teams but believes there is plenty incentive for his side to do well.
He said: "I've said all season that any team that finishes above West Brom will win automatic promotion, and I still think that.
"They went out of the Cup to Middlesbrough (on penalties after a replay) but they played well. They lost at homeÊto SunderlandÊlast weekÊbut that's just one game. They have had a good season.
"And there's no argument from me about Jason Koumas being voted best player outside the Premiership. Having played Albion twice already, our lads know what a good player he is - along with the likes of Diomansy Kamara, Curtis Davies and Kevin Phillips.
"It means there will be some individual battles out there to be won.
"We'll play 4-4-2 and everybody will have someone to mark and play up against. It's a question of you being better than the bloke you are facing.
"But what a challenge! There's nothing better than coming off the pitch and being able to say that you kept the best players in the league quiet."
Wolves are waiting on a late fitness test on stand-in skipper Karl Henry, while Darren Potter is available again after missing last Saturday's win at Luton through suspension.
For West Brom, defender Paul Robinson is available after having his red card against Sunderland last Saturday quashed on appeal.
