Dave Edwards: Any money from Matheus Nunes must be spent on Wolves squad
If Matheus Nunes goes to Manchester City, it is absolutely imperative that Wolves use that money to strengthen their squad.

It looks as if the deal will be done this week and you can understand from his perspective what an opportunity it is for him to play for the best team in the world and to play under Pep.
But Wolves will have to make sure the deal is right and more importantly, they need to make sure it is wrapped up as quickly as possible.
They do not want to be taking it too deep into the last few hours of the window.
They need to get that fee, up front and paid for so they can go and get some replacements.
I feel a bit 50/50 on it. Wolves obviously need that money but at the same time, although Nunes has been inconsistent in a Wolves shirt he is the only player who has that X-factor who can make something happen from nothing.
When we have seen it, there have been great moments, especially the wonder-goal he scored against Chelsea last season.
I will be sad to see him go but I can understand from the club’s point of view if the money comes in and they can do it quickly why they need to do it with the predicament they are in. It is just so important that money is spent.
I was at Goodison Park at the weekend as a fan with my son and my nephew. It was not much of a spectacle for the neutral, it was a tense game that was lacking a bit of quality in the final third.
Everton just edged the big chances but Wolves were probably a bit better on the ball – I think it was a fairly even game despite a lot of the home fans I spoke to feeling they were comfortably the better team.
I did not see it like that – even without my Wolves hat on. It was an even game with not a lot of quality in the final third.
Wolves struggled to break Everton down, there were a lot of players in front of them. They were threatening on the counter-attack against Brighton and Manchester United as they had space to break into but Everton got back into their shape quickly.
Wolves moved the ball nicely around the pitch but lacked any real ability to go and pierce through their defence. They played all in front of them.
The only thing that matters for the manager and the team is to have gotten the win. There were moments where it could have gone either way.
With Everton’s best chances actually coming when Wolves were having the better of the play.
The introduction of Sasa Kalajdzic in the 87th minute really helped because when Everton do sit deep you have to put balls into the box and try to make the first contact.
And that is exactly what happened for the goal. If Kalajdzic was not on the pitch I am pretty sure the ball into the box would have been dealt with but the physical presence he brings just put more doubt and confusion into them.
It was an amazing moment for Kalajdzic given what he has gone through over the last 12 months. For him to come and have that big moment at a place like Goodison Park to get Wolves off and running for this season would have been massive for him. I am delighted for Gary O’Neil as well as he has done well since he has come through the door and that will do him and his staff the world of good from a confidence point of view.
