‘Bring happiness’ - Cesar Peixoto’s delight at Wolves mentality in comeback win
Peixoto’s reaction to Wolves’ 2-1 victory at Turf Moor on Friday night.
Cesar Peixoto hailed Wolves’ mentality as they came from behind to beat Burnley and “bring happiness” to their supporters.
Wolves ended their difficult return from the international break with a comeback victory at Turf Moor, securing their first win there since 2010.
After consecutive defeats and further injury setbacks, Peixoto was delighted with the response, insisting his players’ attitude was key to claiming three points.
“In the last game was an unfair fair result for us, we were the better team if you see the statistics, we are better in all of the moments but don’t score and they score,” he said.

“The Championship is like that, you can win, you can lose, our supporters have to understand that this Championship is very tough. You have got to fight to win all the games.
“Sometimes you don’t win, but not because you don’t want (to). Today we win because we have the right mentality.
“Now we have three home games in a row. It is important that our supporters back us. These players work hard to bring happiness to these supporters.”
Wolves initially struggled and fell behind when Jamie Vardy opened the scoring.
But Fer Lopez restored parity before substitute Tawanda Chirewa struck the winner seconds after coming off the bench.
The victory lifted Wolves back into the Championship play-off places as they look to regain the momentum they had built before the international break.

Peixoto felt his side deserved the points despite their early struggles.
“I’m happy with the game, we deserve to win, in the first 15 minutes we had difficulty with the pressure,” the Wolves boss added.
“Today, what makes the difference is we go to the game with the right mentality. It is an important victory, but only three points.

“When we analyse Burnley we know they want to build up, they want to play with the ball, they have quality. If you have the right triggers to press, to steal the ball, we can steal the ball like what happened today and I’m happy with that. We scored, we win.
“The mentality is what I want from the team, the way they played today, I want them to maintain this mentality in all the games. When they stay with this mentality it’s difficult to play against us.”
