West Brom promotion winning pair and fan favourites odds on for vacant Championship job
The former West Brom managers have been linked with a return to the Championship.
A former West Brom title winner is the bookies favourite to make a return to management for the first time since his departure from the Baggies.
Albion’s fellow Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers, who were neck and neck with the Baggies in the fight for survival this season - are on the lookout for another new boss.
It comes after the Ewood Park side were unable to keep hold of Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill, after he guided them to safety.
O’Neill will return to his international role meaning Rovers are on the hunt for a new boss - and two former Albion chiefs are the two bookies favourites for the job.
Leading the race is Championship title winning manager Tony Mowbray - who has been out of work since he was sacked by Albion back in April 2025.

Mowbray, who won the title with Albion in 2008 and led them to the Premier League - before eventually being lured away to Celtic, made an emotional return to the club in January 2025.
Having been given the all clear following a battle with cancer, he was named as Carlos Corberan’s successor but lasted just 17 games as Albion slipped out of the play-off picture.
Mowbray was axed - but he could be set for a sensational return to another club in Blackburn. Mowbray is well loved at Ewood Park - having earned promotion from League One with the club, before establishing them back in the Championship.
He is currently 1/3 on with BetVictor, while another ex-Albion promotion winning boss is 9/4 to get the job.
Slaven Bilic, who led Albion to the top flight in 2020, last managed in England with Watford. He has been out of work since leaving a role in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
If one of them was to land the job, it would mean Blackburn having appointed a former Albion boss for the second time in a row.
