West Brom player ratings: Some average scores on mixed afternoon in Middlesbrough

See how we rated the performances on Teesside.

MAX O'LEARY

The keeper conceded three but without him it might have been worse. Made some fine saves, particularly from an own goal and Brittain's header. Unlucky with rebounds.

Unlucky 7

NOLAN GALVES

Frenchman clearly still feeling his way into side and English football. Boro looked to get at him and at times it was difficult for the right-back. He'll need to shore up.

Tough 5

NAT PHILLIPS

A challenging afternoon and lots of defending to do but at times made some very timely clearances, blocks and recovery challenges. Back two had a lot to do.

Busy 6

GEORGE CAMPBELL

Once again guilty of a couple of loose passes, needs to sharpen those, but defended well for some parts. We saw his physicality with some good recovery work.

Driven 5

CALLUM STYLES

Part of an impressive left side on the attack in the first half. Whittaker turned him for offside opener. Otherwise a decent attacking threat in final third.

Busy 6

HARRY WHITWELL

Tough afternoon for the midfielder, who has excelled so far this season but looked leggy here, as Morrison admitted. Struggled to influence.

Tough 5

JAYSON MOLUMBY

At times worked it really well. Busy as ever and laid on his side's big chance of first half. Mixed afternoon from midfielder. Had a shot blocked later on.

Mixed 6

OUSMANE DIAKITE

Battling display from the midfield powerhouse. Did a lot of nice things with some fine technical work in midfield and stuck his foot in where it hurts.

Competitive 6

ISAAC PRICE

Looked a bit leggy and off his high standards but still had big impact with assist. Lucky early giveaway not punished. But some lovely moves with Morgan and others.

Dip 6

FELIX HORN MYHRE

Kept his place in league XI from Burnley over Heggebo in support of Morgan. Turned early chance wide but that aside was more on fringes and couldn't influence.

Fringes 5

JIMMY-JAY MORGAN

Fine, fine striker's header for equaliser into top corner. Worked really hard and played his part in some lovely, flowing moves. Can be pleased.

Finisher 6

Substitutes:

Rabby Nzingoula (Whitwell, 70) Really impressing with his energy and bite and quality. But was caught for second. 7

Aune Heggebo (Molumby, 78) Battled away. 6

Kareem Tunde (Horn Myhre, 78) Bright debut cameo. 6

Barney Stewart (Morgan, 86) n/a

Subs not used: Ingram (gk), Williams, Mepham, Townsend, Bany.
