West Brom owner Shilen Patel in attendance for Wrexham draw
Shilen Patel has taken in his fair share of West Brom games since he purchased the club.
While the previous owner was non-existent, Patel has taken in as many games as he can.
He has been a regular at Albion and away games - and he was back in the UK for the clash with Wrexham on Friday.
It was a battle of the US owners as Albion came up against the Wrexham side owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
It was honours even between the two sides ahead of Albion’s big clash with Blackburn Rovers on Monday.
Albion are going to be backed by 7,500 fans at Ewood Park - after they were handed a bumper allocation by the home side.
It is unsure if Patel will be in attendance at the game if he remains in the UK until Monday - but Albion fans will have welcomed him being at yet another game.
It comes after Patel was praised by Albion fans following the recent announcement of the club’s accounts.
West Brom’s losses had been reduced to £17m.
They also revealed Patel invested £31m in the 16 months between the takeover and the completion of the accounting period.
As well as that, the Florida businessman's ownership group have covered the interest figure of £5.2m incurred from the MSD loans taken out in the final months of the disastrous Lai regime.
The outstanding balance of the loans from American firm MSD, which were £20m and £8m taken in 2022 and 2023 respectively, stands at £25m. It has a repayment deadline of December 2026.
