Team news: West Brom confirm change for Burnley clash after controversial ban

Albion tackle Burnley to start their Championship campaign with a Sunday midday kick-off.

Albion have confirmed one change from the side that won at Norwich last weekend in the wake of a controversial suspension for Aune Heggebo.

Norwegian frontman Heggebo was slapped with a two-match suspension on Thursday in the wake of last weekend’s handball opening goal at Norwich’s Carrow Road in the 2-1 win.

Boss James Morrison - in his first match at home as permanent boss since the appointment in April - has made one change for the clash against Burnley.

Albion have recalled midfielder Jayson Molumby to the starting XI in the absence of Heggebo.

Molumby will drop into his natural central midfield role alongside Ousmane Diakite.

The rest of Morrison’s line-up is the same and the likelihood is Norwegian summer recruit Felix Horn Myhre will push into a more advanced role.

The bench contains a couple of changes with no Mikey Johnston owing to a minor setback. Tammer Bany is among the substitutes as well as youngster Ollie Bostock.

Influential marksman Zian Flemming misses out for Burnley amid speculation around his future.

Albion (4-4-1-1): O’Leary; Galves, Phillips, Campbell (c), Styles; Whitwell, Molumby, Diakite, Price; Horn Myhre; Morgan.

Subs: Ingram (gk), Williams, Mepham, Bielik, Townsend, Nzingoula, Stewart, Bany, Bostock.
