Player ratings: Host of low marks as West Brom finish with whimper at Sheffield Wednesday
A poor round of marks to finish the Championship season after defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
Albion correspondent Lewis Cox dishes out the ratings as Baggies lose 2-1 at Hillsborough.
MAX O'LEARY
Made one big early save but was helpless with either of the two set-piece goals. Otherwise not stretched for too many more saves.
Helpless 5
DANNY IMRAY
One of his quieter displays but still threatened with low early strike. A couple of decent runs in later stages as he improved.
Off-colour 5
ALFIE GILCHRIST
Given a surprise recall to the starting XI at centre-back for Phillips and Gilchrist was unable to stem Wednesday attacks. Baggies missed extra height and defender lacked impact.
Struggled 4
GEORGE CAMPBELL
Not one of his finest days after recent form but that goes across the board. One of two recovery challenges helped out but he will be disappointed.
Dipped 5
CALLUM STYLES
Not had many poor displays this season but even the double award winner couldn’t inspire his side here. A couple of bright bursts down left but otherwise low-key.
Off 5
OLLIE BOSTOCK
A victim of the triple half-time change after a tough schooling at senior level. Tried to be bright with endeavour but it would not happen for him.
Endeavour 5
ALEX MOWATT
Had to lead midfield today without injured Molumby and struggled next to Diakite. Could not get going. Half-time change of shape barely unable to help.
Struggled 4
OUSMANE DIAKITE
One of his poorest displays for some time as, like team-mates, he struggled to find any momentum or rhythm. Early yellow did not help him getting stuck in.
Caution 4
ISAAC PRICE
Had a couple of situations early on where he might’ve played a better pass and got his side going but faded and unable to inspire in final third. Scuffed free-kick created consolation.
Faded 4
JOSH MAJA
Almost totally ineffective on what is likely to be his final Albion appearance. Unsurprisingly brought off at break.
4
AUNE HEGGEBO
Wasteful in a couple of openings where he picked the wrong decisions. Right calls would've got team-mates in. A tame shot easily saved and hauled off.

SUBSTITUTES:
Daryl Dike (for Heggebo, 45) Headed over after introduction and could’ve gone through on goal late on. 5
Karlan Grant (for Bostock, 45) Flicked a consolation over the line on what might be his final Baggies appearance. 5
Tammer Bany (for Maja, 45) Tried to buzz about and got involved a bit but little quality. 5
Jed Wallace (for Price, 88) Returned for possible farewell. n/a
Souleyman Mandey (for Diakite, 89) Senior debut. Only stoppage time but got involved. n/a
Subs not used: Griffiths (gk), Taylor, Phillips, Sule.
