Lewis Cox's West Brom ratings after fine overdue win: Raft of high marks and one star man

Albion correspondent Lewis Cox dishes out some lofty ratings as the Baggies finally made their long-awaited return to winning ways with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Hull.

MAX O'LEARY

Largely untested before hobbling off with what seems a minor injury in second half. One half-clearance in first half when rushing out could've been costly. Otherwise solid.

Knock 7

DANNY IMRAY

What can you say? One of Albion's best individual displays of the season. The Crystal Palace loanee was relentless with his raids down the right. Bagged deserve late assist for Price. Fans half-joked comparisons with Brazil legend Dani Alves.

Stunning 9

GEORGE CAMPBELL

Recovered from a slightly wobbly start in allowing McBurnie two chances to enjoy another very impressive afternoon. Powerful and aggressive, he must continue at centre-back.

Aggressive 8

NAT PHILLIPS

Back as a starter after a brief injury for the unlucky Gilchrist and successfully dealt with McBurnie. One critical first-half block got Campbell and O'Leary out of jail. Defended very well thereafter.

Return 8

CALLUM STYLES

A really bright display from the left-back who has been such a consistent figure in a forgettable season. Always on the front foot and keen to attack. So unlucky with late rocket off woodwork.

Bright 8

JED WALLACE

Captain's display from the skipper, who was relentless down the right - in the first half especially. He set up Maja's opener before persistence got Hull's Hughes sent off. Real return to form.

Brilliant 8

OUSMANE DIAKITE

What a week the Malian destroyer is having. Cramp on Wednesday but back in with another tireless shift here. Mostly reliable with the ball and a real workhorse without it. Ran all over visitors.

Workhorse 8

JAYSON MOLUMBY

Looks to have forged a fine new partnership with Diakite. Molumby is enjoying a purple patch in midfield and really caught the eye here. He was everywhere and Hull did not get near him.

Everywhere 8

ISAAC PRICE

On the left wing again, Price delivered his best display in some time and capped it with a very well deserved late goal. Boundless energy and some silky footwork. Loads of efforts at goal.

Threat 8

AUNE HEGGEBO

Seventeen appearances without a goal but the long drought is over now for the top scorer, who made it 10 for the season with his clever finish. Like his colleagues, he just never stopped in a relentless display.

Relentless 8

JOSH MAJA

Given the nod over Dike and rewarded Morrison with the opening goal. As good as he has played for some time, he looked like his old self with lovely touches.

Throwback 8

Substitutes:

Josh Griffiths (for O'Leary, 67) Barely involved 6.

Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba (for Wallace, 67) Assist for Albion's second with his first touch 7.

Alex Mowatt (for Diakite, 83) n/a

Daryl Dike (for Heggebo, 84) n/a

Harry Whitwell (for Price, 89) n/a

Subs not used: Taylor, Gilchrist, Bostock, Mustapha
