Lewis Cox's West Brom player ratings as 3s handed out following scathing caretaker's summary
Albion reporter Lewis Cox dishes out some lowly marks as the Baggies collapse to another humiliating defeat at Oxford in the desperate relegation dogfight.
MAX O'LEARY
Was blamed by boss James Morrison for the manner of the second goal. Failed to command his six-yard box and could've possibly got more on the header.
Unconvincing 4
GEORGE CAMPBELL
Did not do too much wrong and was far from the biggest guilty party in Albion's backline. Never lacks for effort and commitment but sometimes can be messy.
Tried 5
KRYSTIAN BIELIK
Copped the wrath of Morrison after when the caretaker quizzed afterwards "where was my big centre-half to head it?" Albion need so much more. Bielik was slow and badly struggled. Missed late chance, Albion's best.
Missing 3
CHARLIE TAYLOR
Gave the ball away needlessly which led to corner for Oxford's first goal and failed to recover. Also badly lacks for pace and mobility in the backline. Pulled around all afternoon.
Jeered 3
CALLUM STYLES
Consistently Albion's best player this season but not been at his best for some time and lacked it here again. Tried to make things happen but looks low on confidence and belief.
Lacking 4
ALEX MOWATT
One or two decent deliveries, including late free-kick headed wide by Bielik. But Albion need more from an experienced head, leader and technical player like Mowatt. Not enough.
Average 5
JAYSON MOLUMBY
Played reasonably well in midweek but dropped back into more regular midfield role here. Bar one surge or two was poor. Tendency to dart here there and everywhere makes Albion too open.
Poor 4
JED WALLACE
Captain recalled to the line-up but badly struggled. His touch was well off, he constantly lost the ball and his final shot or cross was wayward. Booked too after losing possession.
Struggled 4
ISAAC PRICE
Another who, like Molumby, tends to run all over the place but to little effect. Albion need him on the ball and creative but it just didn't happen here.
Quiet 4
MIKEY JOHNSTON
Had a lively 20 minutes and was his side's most threatening player before coming off with worrying ankle injury.
Worrying 6
JOSH MAJA
Given the nod over Heggebo surprisingly and was lifeless for most of the piece. Often far too casual. Really poor.
Lifeless 4
