'Guts' - West Brom boss responds as star shines again after breather
Isaac Price delivered a moment of quality and cheekiness during the thrilling comeback against Blackburn.
Boss James Morrison credited the guts and healthy arrogance of Albion’s Isaac Price after the star’s moment of impudence in the thrilling Blackburn win.
Northern Irishman Price hauled his side level late on with a sixth goal of the season with a cheeky ‘Panenka’ penalty chipped underneath the crossbar and beyond Balazs Toth.
Getting such an effort wrong or being read by a goalkeeper can leave a player red-faced and such spot-kicks are typically reserved for healthy leads.
Head coach Morrison admitted he could barely watch as Price bid to equalise but had to take his hat off to the attacking star - who had a key late penalty saved against Georgia for Northern Ireland less than two weeks earlier.
"I was looking away a little bit and then glanced up,” Morrison said.

"It takes big guts. He missed his last penalty (for Northern Ireland) and the timing of it in the game.
"It takes some guts to do that - but it keeps the goalkeeper guessing, doesn't it?
"Fair play to him. When it comes off, it comes off.”
Price smiled as he rushed back to the centre circle having helped the hosts fight back from an early 2-0 deficit against returning former boss Tony Mowbray and Rovers.
Morrison’s team pushed on as substitute Felix Horn Myhre bagged an 89th-minute winner at a bouncing Hawthorns.
Former Everton youngster Price has stepped up during the last two matches, as his side have twice fought back to win. The 23-year-old provided a goal and assist in the victory at Wrexham four days earlier before his intervention from 12 yards.
Prior to the trip to north Wales he had only been a late substitute in the 1-0 home defeat to Birmingham immediately after the international break. Price rarely misses a game for club or country and played in all four of Northern Ireland’s fixtures during the break.
Morrison smiled while suggesting a Blues breather may have helped. He added: "Yes - he's got a good arrogance. I felt his general play was really good.
"He had an impact last Tuesday with a goal and assist. It was probably down to him having a rest!"
