Ex-West Brom youth defender nets for Fenerbahce in Champions League
The Fenerbahce defender once had a spell on Albion’s books.
Former West Brom youngster Archie Brown scored for Fenerbahce in their 1-1 draw against Roma in the Champions League league phase.
Fenerbahce had trailed to Bryan Cristante’s 39th-minute opener, before Brown latched on to a Mason Greenwood pass to dink his finish over Mile Svilar four minutes into the second half.
Birmingham-born left-back Brown started his youth career at Albion and left for Derby County aged 15 in 2017.
Brown, who has never played professionally in England, launched his senior career with Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.
He went on to make 87 appearances for Belgian outfit Gent, scoring three goals and setting up 10 more, before joining Fenerbahce in 2025.
The 24-year-old has netted seven times in 45 matches for the Turkish giants and previously won two caps for England under-20s, scoring once.
