West Brom's Alex Mowatt is handed a lead role at The Hawthorns
Albion have added midfielder Alex Mowatt to the club's leadership group after the departure of several experienced players in the summer.

The Baggies saw a host of seasoned professionals depart The Hawthorns during the off-season, including Conor Townend, Okay Yokuslu and Matt Phillips, among others.
That trio in particular were recognised among the club's select group of long-serving and experienced players who acted as a conduit between head coach Carlos Corberan and the first-team squad.
Corberan explained 29-year-old midfielder Mowatt, in his fourth season at the club, has joined forces with the likes of club captain Jed Wallace, vice-skipper Kyle Bartley and Darnell Furlong in the group of Baggies players who take the lead on matters within the training ground.
Corberan, whose side welcome Wayne Rooney's Plymouth today, said: "I think you can manage this with the players we kept, we keep some of the players who have leadership skills, players who can be examples for new players, players who understand the culture here very well.
"Like we talk specifically about the captains, Jed, Bartley or Furlong and Mowatt – who we have added to this group too.
"So they are players with a lot of experience, all of them, in the Championship, in the country, in the club here. For me they can keep showing the values to all the new players and young players that we have in the club."
Between Townsend, Yokuslu and Phillips there were 569 appearances for the club.
Goalkeeper Alex Palmer, an academy graduate at The Hawthorns, is another among the club's experienced players given extra responsibility among the group.
Eleven new recruits checked into The Hawthorns this summer during a period of change as Albion's Bilkul ownership allowed Corberan to put a stamp on the squad while working with financial fair play restriction.
Many arrived into English football for the first time, including Torbjorn Heggem, Ousmane Diakite, Uros Racic and Gianluca Frabotta. Some of the British-based recruits have minimal experience of regular Championship football.
One player well-versed in Championship football is Wallace, who will make his 100th Albion appearance if he plays any part against the Pilgrims today.
Corberan said: "It's important, 100 is always an important moment and hopefully he will play a lot more games. The careers of players are never given free, when a player makes a career like this, of 100 games, and the many games they play before, nobody gives you the opportunity to play games and have an important career if you don't deserve it."
