The Bucks hammered Ashton 5-0 when the two sides met in the north-west back in August, but former Telford midfielder Green has since completed a radical overhaul of his squad.
And Smith believes Green's actions have turned Ashton from relegation fodder into a decent side at UniBond League premier division level.
