Shrewsbury Town sign striker Scott Vernon and winger James Caton
Shrewsbury Town have today strengthened their attack with the signing of Aberdeen hitman Scott Vernon and former Blackpool winger James Caton.
Vernon, who has spent the last four years plying his trade at Pittodrie in the Scottish Premiership, has signed a two-year deal with another year option, while Caton has also signed a two year contract.

Vernon started his career with Oldham in 2002 and had spells with Blackpool, Colchester and Southend before moving to Scotland in 2010, where he has played more than 130 games.
He is the second forward to be signed by Mellon following the recent capture of James Collins from Hibernian.
Caton meanwhile saw his opportunities in the Tangerines first team limited to two appearance but he also spent time out on loan with Accrington Stanley and Chester City.
