Shrewsbury Town ratings: Deserved high marks including hero frontman
See how sports reporter Lewis Cox rated the performances after the dramatic fightback win in West Sussex.
WILL BROOK
Made two top stops inside first 10 minutes but could have done better with cross for goal. Was barely a spectator after the break.
Mixed 6
SAM STUBBS
Typical Stubbs display, strong in the air and used it well at times. Always looked forward and tried to use ball well.
Ambition 6
WILL BOYLE
A threat in the Crawley box as knock-downs almost fell his way. Front-footed defending when he could get away with it. Such a presence for his side.
Presence 7
JOSH RUFFELS
Some uncharacteristic pieces of sloppy possession on the left side, where the hosts had good joy. Fired decent opening from range well over.
Subdued 6
LUCA HOOLE
Never a lack of effort and commitment up and down that right but quality could have been better at times on century of Salop appearances.
Centurion 6
TOM SANG
The more busy and noticeable of the two in Cowan's midfield. Made some decent ground with ball. Early opening was tame but made up for it late on for winner.
Involved 8
WILL GRAY
Into the side after suspension but was quiet for the first period as Town struggled to get going. Has to be commended with response, was good late on. Impressive for so young.
Mature 7
KEVIN BERKOE
A handy outlet with some decent delivery. His left foot certainly looked like a decent source. Should have had an assist with goal incorrectly ruled out.
Source 7
KIAN MCMAHON-BROWN
Well-shackled for parts but every time he got on the ball and worked half a yard he looked dangerous. His performance in the second period was electric. Crawley couldn’t get near him. Impressive.
Electric 8
JOSH DAVISON
Bullish display where he got the better of physical challenges with defenders and deserved second-half equaliser. Fine finish for equaliser and what a moment to win it at death.
All-round 9
GEORGE LLOYD
Battled hard to little avail in the first period but excellent role in equaliser with fine header. Unlucky his finish ruled out for offside before perseverance paid off with side’s second.
Strong 8
Subs not used: Gregory (gk), Jude-Boyd, Lee, Sousa, Golding, Thompson-McKenzie, Aiston.
