Shrewsbury Town boss Graham Turner not laying the blame with reserves
Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has said that today's reserve team clash at home to Oldham will not be about redemption for a handful of his fringe players.
The Meadow boss handed game time to regular reserve team players Dave McAllister and Joe Anyon – as well as loan signings Curtis Main and Graham Burke, and defender Connor Goldson – in last Tuesday's 4-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy home defeat to Oldham.

Having made five changes from the XI that started the previous game, a League One clash with Coventry, the team turned in an abject first 30 minutes on their way to a heavy defeat.
But asked if today's reserve game would give a handful of his squad a chance to make amends, Turner said: "You have the likes of Dave McAllister and he is an honest pro. Joe Anyon's the same and there is no reflection on those players that they didn't put a shift in against Oldham.
"But the changes (I made for the Oldham game), I shouldn't have made them looking back on it, and that is not being disrespectful to the lads that went in."
Turner added that making five changes for the game had sent out the 'wrong message' about the importance of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, which he had been aiming to win.
Turner may also include a couple of trialists in the side today.
