Shrewsbury boss hails consistent Chris Weale
Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has saluted the work of Chris Weale after the consistent goalkeeper kept his third consecutive clean sheet in Saturday's goalless League One draw at Scunthorpe.
Turner said: "I think we're fortunate to have Chris with us as he looks all over a Championship goalkeeper. But he enjoys his football with us and is very professional and very conscientious about things.
"It is no accident he is a good goalkeeper, as he works at it."
Winger Mark Wright is expected to train early this week after a knee injury to put him in contention for Saturday's visit of Hartlepool.
Midfielder Luke Summerfield is also on target for an early comeback, possibly in the same game, after hernia surgery.
Turner said: "Wrighty is taking longer than expected but he should train this week."
But the plaster cast which young striker Ryan Doble is wearing after a hand injury has kept him out of training.
