Shrews' Akwasi Asante back at Birmingham
On-loan Shrewsbury Town striker Akwasi Asante has been recalled to Birmingham City to help cover an injury at his parent club.
Blues striker Nikola Zigic has been ruled out with a back injury until the international break and manager Lee Clark is running the rule over his forward options.
The news has come as a blow to Town after Asante put in a lively performance in the 2-0 win over Swindon on Saturday in his first game back following a hamstring injury.
It leaves Shrewsbury with just two first team forwards currently available, Tom Bradshaw and Graham Burke, with John Marsden currently recovering from a broken foot.
