Will Brook

Made a brilliant early stop to deny Paul Mullin early on, but would have been disappointed by his role in the hosts' opener. He had nothing to do after the opening 20 minutes.

Mixed: 6

Josh Ruffels

He was sloppy on the ball for Rotherham’s second, but it was his header in the second period that pulled Shrewsbury level.

OK: 6

Will Boyle

He would have thought he had won it for Town when he converted at the back post with just over 20 minutes remaining but it was not to be.

Good: 7

Sam Stubbs

A couple of scary moments for the Shrews defender that he would have liked to have handled better. More work to do in possession from a defensive point of view.

Up-and-down: 6

George Lloyd

He was carried off just before half-time after a nasty head collision with Dominic Iorfa. It looked desperately painful.

Injured: n/a

Tom Sang

Put some lovely crosses into the box when he dropped into space on the right side of midfield - looked like Town’s most likely route to a goal.

Good: 7

Kevin Berkoe

Looked good on the left side and found himself a threat in the opposition box at various stages of the game.

Bright: 7

Josh Davison

Scored the Salop goal in the first half and flicked the ball on at the near post for Salop third. A good afternoon for the Shrewsbury Town centre-forward.

Good: 7

Arkell Jude-Boyd

Mixed afternoon on the right side, had some really nice moments but arguably some really frustrating moments too. Lovely cross for the Town second.

Positive: 7

Kian McMahon-Brown

The red card will be remembered, but it was never a sending-off, and he was unfortunate to receive his marching orders.

Unlucky: 6

Will Gray

He was comfortable in possession of the ball with Town playing against 10 for the majority of the game. He used it well and was the person fouled for the hosts' red card.

Energetic: 6

Substitutes

Michael Golding 6 (for Lloyd, 45). Not used: Gregory, Lee, Sousa, Gbode, Thompson-McKenzie, Aiston.
