Ollie Westbury's predicted Shrewsbury XI vs Bolton

I expect Town to play in the same formation as they did against Colchester on Saturday a 3-4-2-1. It was a slight tweak from the 3-5-2 they have played more often this season and they got a positive result and scored three goals. I think Matt Taylor will stay with it.

Goalkeeper

There is nothing to discuss, as long as he is fit, Marko Marosi will play.

Defenders

The back three will be similar to Saturday but with Chey Dunkley being available again you would expect him to come back into the side. I thought Joe Anderson did well at the weekend, but as he was the last man in, I would expect him to be the man to make way for Dunkley. Tom Flanagan and Jason Sraha have been pretty consistent in recent weeks.

Elliot Thorpe will push for a place at wing-back, but it is probably too early for that yet, and until he is ready to start, Carl Winchester will stay on the right side. Brandon Fleming looks as if he will still be out injured so Mal Benning will play at left wing-back.

Midfield

Elliott Bennett started alongside Taylor Perry on Saturday, but given the quality of the opposition, Taylor might think to give Nohan Kenneh the nod next to Perry given his athleticism. The head coach has praised Kenneh for those parts of his game in recent weeks, so he could make that call.

Jordan Shipley and Tom Bayliss you would expect to play in the two number 10 roles. Shipley did play 66 minutes on Saturday and having not played since August 26 I was surprised to see him play for that long. How he is doing physically will play a part for this game, but with his quality, I think the boss will give him the nod.

Forwards

Dan Udoh got his third goal of the season at the weekend, he is one of the first names on the teamsheet and if they are only going to play one striker, I would expect Taylor to pick him unless he feels they need to freshen things up.
