New boy Sam Winnall targets a Shrews goal rush

And the 21-year old, who has aqcuired experience of League Two in previous loan spells with Hereford United and Burton Albion, is excited about pitting his skills against defences one league higher.

He said: "I'm very excited. It's going to be a good challenge for me.

"League One is a step up from what I have been used to but I'm ready.

"I feel as if this is somewhere I can be really successful. Hopefully I can get my goals and make a good impression."

Winnall, who has also spent time on loan at Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, admitted his latest move away from Molineux had come about very quickly.

But as soon as he heard Turner's side were interested he was keen on a spell at the Greenhous Meadow.

"It pretty much came about on Thursday night," he said. "I had the call from the development coach at Wolves saying that Shrewsbury were interested in taking me," he said.

"As soon as he said that I was interested."
