Isaac Lee hopes to lock down Shrewsbury Town defensive role
Defender Isaac Lee reflected on his first appearances for Shrewsbury Town.
Isaac Lee is hoping he has done enough to stake a claim for a regular spot in the heart of the Shrewsbury Town backline.
Lee enjoyed a run of three consecutive starts at the end of Salop’s season, impressing in a central defensive role.

The 22-year-old had to be patient for his first appearance in blue and amber following his January move, but believes he has begun to make his mark.
Asked if he hopes to make the centre back role his own, he said: “Yeah, 100 per cent. Wherever the gaffer puts me, I'm going to do a job - a job and a half.
“But hopefully I can really cement my position next year and see where we go from there.”
Lee joined from Cymru Premier side Flint Town United and had previously been named on the bench seven times without featuring before finally making his Football League debut at Crawley Town, where he helped keep a clean sheet.
It has been a significant step up for the defender, who has climbed through the non-league pyramid to reach Shrewsbury, and he is determined to keep improving.
“I feel like I'm nowhere near the finished article,” he added. “I feel like I've got a lot to improve and I know I can be.
“I want to make a name for myself here. Hopefully I can do that.”

Standing at 6ft 5in, Lee has combined his aerial presence with composure on the ball, also showing the ability to step out from the back during his recent run of games.
During his debut at Crawley, he also credited vice-captain Will Boyle for helping him settle in.
He said: “Boyle was talking to me a lot, telling me where to position myself.
“In the game, when I got comfortable, he basically told me that you need to do what I'm really good at and I think I've shown a little bit of a glimpse of what I can do.”
