That won’t stop head coach Taylor from ringing the changes – though the team will retain a senior look to it.

Harry Burgoyne, Tom Flanagan, Tom Bayliss and Ryan Bowman are among those who may be reinstated to the starting line-up, while Nohan Kenneh could come back in after missing Saturday’s defeat to Bristol Rovers.

He was in Morocco on international duty with Liberia when the devastating earthquake struck.

Taylor said: “Nohan, regardless of whether we missed him or not, physically wasn’t in the right condition to play on Saturday having been in Morocco when there was an earthquake then travelling back and not arriving back to Shrewsbury from Africa until 2.40/2.50 afternoon on Thursday.

“Nohan will be ready if selected to play on Tuesday.”

Town suffered a 3-0 defeat at Forest Green in their first game of the EFL Trophy, while Brighton have already dispatched League Two Walsall 3-2.

At least Shrewsbury won’t have to line up against midfielder Andrew Moran, who scored twice for Brighton at the Saddlers but has since departed on loan to Championship club Blackburn Rovers.
