Exclusive: Harry Burgoyne to stay at Shrewsbury
Micky Moore says Harry Burgoyne will be a Shrewsbury Town player next season - with an announcement expected soon.
The goalkeeper, who was number two behind Marko Marosi last season, has been offered fresh terms at the Croud Meadow ahead of the new campaign.
Burgoyne made two appearances in League One last season when Marosi injured his hand against Burton Albion.
In those two games, Salop fell to a disappointing defeat at Cheltenham before bouncing back to beat MK Dons 2-1 at the Meadow.
Burgoyne, who is from Shropshire, also made three appearances alongside Shrewsbury's youngsters in their EFL Trophy campaign.
And the shot-stopper has agreed to stay with Shrewsbury Town for another season under new head coach Matt Taylor.
"Verbally he will be here, yes," Moore said when asked about Burgoyne's future.
"He will be one that I am hoping will be done in the next 24 to 48 hours.
"The conversations that I have had with Harry are that he is happy, and we are happy so I do not see any problems with that.
"I think he will be done fairly soon."
