The club’s player retain list also confirms that star winger Alex Rodman has triggered criteria to extend his terms, as has fellow attacker Arthur Gnahoua.

While full-back Joe Riley, young goalkeeper Shaun Rowley and forward AJ Leitch-Smith have not been offered fresh deals.

Former boss Paul Hurst had discussions with players regarding their futures shortly after last Sunday’s play-off defeat at Wembley.

Goalkeeper MacGillivray was back-up to on-loan Dean Henderson last season and featured on just 14 occasions.

He said towards the end of the season that he was keen to play more first-team football.

Ogogo and Brown have both had serious injuries disrupt their third season with Town. The latter made his return from a seven-month lay-off after knee surgery with a place on the bench at Wembley.

Popular winger Rodman, who netted at Wembley last weekend, was one of Town's stars this season. He scored nine times in 55 appearances. Gnahoua hit three goals in 22 games.

John-Lewis made 37 league appearances for Town, all from the bench, totalling 331 minutes.

Departing right-back Riley almost left Shrewsbury in January, while 21-year-old shot-stopper Rowley – who came through the club's academy – has also been let go.

Leitch-Smith, 28, spent the season with Scottish side Dundee, where he scored seven times in 32 outings.
