The on-loan Manchester United star has been sanctioned by the Football Association following an incident during the second half of Town’s 3-1 defeat Blackburn earlier this month.

Several items were thrown toward Henderson from the Ewood Park stands after Charlie Mulgrew netted a 70th minute penalty for the hosts.

It is claimed the keeper reacted by throwing some of those items back into the stands.

Town were informed of Henderson’s suspension on Thursday and will consider an appeal once they have received the FA’s written reasons on Monday.

In the meantime, Henderson is definitely out of Saturday’s trip to Portsmouth. Craig MacGillivray, who has featured just twice in League One this season, will deputise in his place.
