Shrewsbury Town took the A49 derby day honours with a comfortable 2-0 win over relegation-threatened rivals Hereford United.

First half goals from Terry Gornell and James Collins set Town on their way to a first away win since November.

After an even start Town took the lead when Gornell headed in Joe Jacobson's delicious delivery on 17 minutes.

And 10 minutes later it was two when Collins latched onto a perfectly flighted Matt Richards pass to lash home a first time volley from 20 yards.

Delory Facey missed a chance to level for the Bulls when the score was 1-0, his header looping just wide.

After the break Collins drew a fine save from home keeper Adam Bartlett as the visitors professionally closed out the game.
