Telford's Simon Forsdick celebrates his goal in the second half.AFC Telford United could be thrown off balance for tomorrow's Blue Square North clash with Hucknall - with the loss of left-sided aces Asa Charlton and Simon Forsdick.Defender Charlton will definitely be missing from the starting line-up as he starts a two-game suspension having accumulated 10 bookings for the season.

Left wing-back Forsdick is a major doubt, having picked up a knock on the ankle injury that had been troubling him ahead of last Saturday's 6-1 win over Leigh RMI.

"Fozzie (Forsdick) has not trained all week as he aggravated his injury last week," assistant manager Larry Chambers revealed.

"He was passed fit to play last week but it was always a gamble and he took a knock which has affected him.

"We'll assess him tomorrow and give him every chance to play, because we're restricted in terms of what options we have got in that position."

With another centre-back also sidelined in the shape of Richard Teesdale (calf strain), it means Carl Rodgers will again be asked to deputise at the back.

Robust midfielder Rodgers has successfully slotted into that position before and Chambers has no concerns about asking him to do so again.

"It won't weaken the side at all," he added. "Some people actually argue that it's his best position."

Telford boss Rob Smith will be alongside Chambers in the dugout tomorrow, with chairman Lee Carter confirming they had launched an appeal over the six-game ban he has been served by an FA disciplinary committee.

Carter also revealed the club was set to withdraw its bid for Worcester centre-back Chris Smith, with City refusing to discuss Telford's offer ahead of today's 3pm deadline.

"We will withdraw our offer," he said. "If they came back next Wednesday and said they wanted to discuss the possibility of selling him then we'd think about it."
