The Bucks have revealed ex-midfielder Parrish, 45, will take on the role on a voluntary basis.

Parrish is the cousin of new AFC Telford chief Edwards.

Born in Wrexham, Parrish featured for Telford United between 1992 and 1994.

He spent the bulk of his playing career with Doncaster, Northampton and Chesterfield.

Parrish was then welcomed to the New Bucks Head 13 years ago as part of AFC Telford's birth - he represented the club for another couple of seasons until 2006.

He will work alongside boss Edwards and first-team coach Gavin Cowan.

Edwards' first chance to meet the New Bucks Head faithful is during tonight's pre-season friendly with Aston Villa.
