Dave Edwards: Shrewsbury's resurgence continues with big win
Shrewsbury Town's resurgence continues and game by game they are slowly turning things around.

It was a high pressure game against a Crawley side also near the bottom of the table, which makes picking up three points even more important.
For Town to come out the way they have done in the last two home games is a huge credit to all their characters.
They have three clean sheets on the bounce now after what was maybe a disappointing result away at Barrow but they got the draw, which set them up for these two home games. To back that up with more clean sheets is incredible and it's the first time in three-and-a-half years that has happened.
The whole team deserves a lot of credit for the way they work, the defensive unit in particular has been so strong with Will Boyle and Sam Stubbs being key to that.
Stubbs has been Town's best player in these three games and he's in his best form for the club to date, which coincides with three clean sheets and shows what a top quality defender he is.
Getting back-to-back wins is important too - the first time since February - and the confidence that will give the team will be huge. The training ground always feels better after a win and you always really enjoy training and don't have the result from the weekend before hanging over your head.
Michael Appleton alluded to that, saying training had been really good, but he didn't want the lads to be too casual and he had to give them a bit of a rocket on Friday to make sure they knew how important this game was.
Overall Town were the better team and they had some chances before the red card for Harry McKirdy, which threw the game in Shrewsbury's favour.
At home that can add some pressure and it changed the way Crawley played, but Town kept plugging away and it was another set piece combination between Sam Clucas and Boyle, for the second game running, to get the winner.
It was a terrific header from Boyle, who put in another big performance and got a huge goal.
Town defended well and looked comfortable after that and it sets them up nicely now for the games coming up.
It's a shame about Bradley Ihionvien's injury because he started so well in a Town shirt. He dipped a little bit in recent weeks but it is a big blow to see him get a knee injury and it seems he will be out for quite a while.
I hope he recovers quickly and when he is back he can have an impact again.
For the club, they have now had a great start to such an important run of games
I spoke about the five games including the Crawley match, which are really important for teams at the bottom half of the table, and Town feel they can beat any of them on their day, before they face a tough run against promotion contenders.
They started well, got the win against Crawley, and now have Oldham, Crewe, Newport and Fleetwood coming up with an FA Cup draw at South Shields in the middle of that.
If Town can come through this run of games and win the majority of them, it'll drag them away from that bottom two and get them into some sort of mid-table security.
From there you hope Town can take the confidence they've built and push on, but it's one brick at a time and they've been building that over the last few weeks ahead of their match with Oldham next.
