Dave Edwards: It's Vitor Pereira's time to shine to improve his Wolves side
Regardless of whether it's been a good transfer window or a bad one for Wolves, Vitor Pereira will be delighted that it is shut.

He now knows exactly the personnel he's got to work with moving forward and I do think if the manager had more time with this squad earlier in pre-season that Wolves would be in a better position now due to Pereira's coaching ability and how well he organises his team.
We've been a little bit disjointed at times at the start of this season, but with so much talk about players leaving, players coming in and players fighting for positions, it's understandable that it hasn't quite clicked yet.
But now there's a perfect opportunity for Pereira and his coaching staff to work relentlessly with his players, to make them understand his playing style, building relationships on the pitch, and then also get the best out of all the new signings who will have various different characteristics and pros and cons.
I'm happy the window is closed, and I'm sure Pereira will be as well.
One of the biggest positives of the window for Wolves was keeping Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Newcastle put in two bids and Larsen was seemingly keen to make the move, but there is no way Wolves could have let him go, it would have been Premier League suicide.

He is so pivotal to how Wolves play and he got better and better last year, particularly under Pereira.
Hopefully Larsen is back fit as quickly as possible and that he's also motivated to do as well as he can for Wolves, like he has been since he's been at the club.
I'm sure there will be a tinge of disappointment at not getting the move, but he knows he's going to be a Wolves player for the foreseeable future, and it's important that he performs for himself.
At the back end of last season Wolves made a conscious effort to get more deliveries into the box, work the ball into better areas out wide and Larsen's biggest strength, in my opinion, is the runs he makes. He's very clever with them, he tries to off-balance defenders and get in front of them, and he scored multiple goals doing that last year.
Without him in the team, we would really struggle for any impact in the box. He's flourished under Pereira and I'm happy he's still here.
Tolu Arokodare has also come in and he is a striker with a very similar profile to Larsen and having that competition will help both of them.
It's good for Wolves to have two players who can make such a big impact in the box, because Arokodare is a very physical player. He's strong, he's a good size, makes really good runs in behind and a bit like Larsen, he works exceptionally hard for the team. I think that gives you a chance in any game.
It does mean from a tactical point of view that Wolves' main source of goals will probably come from crosses into the box.
It's already happened this season when you look at the goals against Everton and West Ham.
If you know the ball is going to come in from out wide, you can have runners from midfield and the striker can get across their man to make something happen.
Without the creativity of Matheus Cunha or Rayan Ait-Nouri, Wolves have to look at different ways of hurting teams and using the width and crossing ability will be our best chance. Keeping Larsen is so important to that.
Some have suggested that Pereira could play Larsen and Arokodare together, but I would be very surprised if we switched to a 3-5-2 because the two strikers are very similar.
If you're chasing a game then that is a tactic we could use and I'm sure we'll see them play together at some point, but I would be surprised to see them start together.
Maybe Pereira will shock me with his selection, but since he's been at Wolves he's stuck with 3-4-3 and when he makes substitutions he rarely changes the shape.
But it's a great position for Wolves to be in with two central strikers of very good quality, we've not had that for a very long time.
Hopefully, we can have some of those number 10s step up to the plate and provide some good chances for that striking pair.
